Anggun appreciates the depth of Amisha, noting, “For the first three episodes, you don’t know anything about her. You don’t even know whether she actually speaks English or understands a thing.”

Facing Fears

Anggun has only recently ventured into acting, and she candidly discusses her fears and motivations. “I always thought that this was never my thing. But once I decided to face that demon, I started learning about acting. Acting is actually no acting; you’re trying to tell your truth in someone else’s character.”

This perspective allowed her to embrace the challenge, feeling blessed for the opportunity. “Things like Reacher happened, and I really feel so blessed.”

The Pressure to Perform

With Reacher being a massive hit, Anggun felt the pressure to deliver. However, she focused on her preparation and the physical aspects of her role. “Talent is one thing, but being fit and ready to do what they ask you to do is the real talent.”

Anggun trained with a world champion kickboxer to prepare for the physical demands of her role. “Now I can say that I can defend myself!” she laughs, reflecting on the bruises she earned in the process.

Meeting Reacher

Working alongside Alan Ritchson, Anggun found herself starstruck. “I had to remind myself to close my mouth. OK, that’s him. He’s super nice!” She recalls her excitement during their first scene together, emphasizing how he embodies the character of Reacher. “I can’t think of anyone else that can… he is Reacher.”
