Soundtrack to Sixteen is a new British coming of age film, but rather than your typical Hollywood heir of heiress, it focusses on two main characters growing up in London in the Noughties. However, it could be any era as I watched the film and felt a connection to one of the main characters, in how things were for me at that age, and the experiences I had. It is a sweet and funny film, adding lots of humour and brilliant writing, expertly carried out by the actors. This interview with Anna and Hillary Shakespeare, who co-wrote it, produced and directed as well as Scarlett Marshall who plays Maisy, talks about the film making process, the emotions and feelings of cast and crew throughout and reminiscing on childhood.
