Listen to "Filmmaker Alejandra Jenni talks to me about her taboo-breaking new film ’Worth’" on Spreaker.

Alejandra Jenni is a filmmaker, director and actress with an impressive resume working across theatre and film. For this interview, we talk about her short film “Wert” (Worth) which highlights and breaks the stigma barrier about talking about menstruation and issues felt by women worldwide. It is an excellent piece, with an aim to remove the taboo around talking about it both by the patriarchal society and also by women themselves not talking as a result. Alejandra is passionate about bringing this to mainstream, and we talk about her passion for filmmaking, the workshops for schools where she educates on menstruation, so that girls from that young, impressionable age, can feel less self conscious and realise they are not alone in this. I hope you enjoy this chat about a very important topic.
